This is a review of “Shakespeare’s Trollop” by Charlaine Harris, it is the 4th book in The Lily Bard Series. It follows on from “Shakespeare’s Christmas“.
Lily Bard is still cleaning up other people’s messes. One person she cleans for on a regular basis is Deedra Dean. Deedra has been making a name for herself in the small Arkansas town of Shakespeare. The kindest version of that name would be “Trollop”.
Lily has the great misfortune of discovering Deedra, dead and violated on a deserted road in her little red car. Aware of Deedra’s nature, but also witness to many of the men she has entertained in the last few months (they are neighbours) Lily just cannot pick who would do such a thing. So it’s time to begin sleuthing again.
Jack and Lily also make some big relationship decisions, and the twist at the end is so unexpected it’s delicious!
